Hilt of Dutch naval officer's sword
The hilt consists of a gilt half-basket guard with a pierced design of scrolls and a crown over foul anchor badge within an oval. There is a lion's-head pommel, smooth back-piece and a leaf design on the trailing quillon. The ivory grip is bound with three gilt wires.
