Hilt of sabre
Said to have been taken from an officer aboard 'L'IntrÔòá┬«pide', 74 guns, at Trafalgar, it is inscribed L'INTREPIDE 74 TRAFALGAR OCTr 21st 1805. It is almost certainly a cavalry weapon of either the French Revolutionary or Imperial armies but the presence of a land-service sword in a warship was by no means uncommon in either the French or Royal Navies.

Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
