HMS 'Thetis' (1846)
Scale: 1:48. A model of the starboard side of HMS 'Thetis' (1846), a 36-gun warship made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The hull below the waterline is painted brown and black above the waterline, and there is a broad white stripe running horizontally along the main gundeck. The single deck is made from bare wood. The starboard quarter and stern galleries are painted onto the hull. Fittings include guns run out in every gunport, channels, rudder, cathead, and stump bowsprit. The model is displayed on a dark stained wooden backboard. A number of missing parts have been replaced.
