'Indomptable'; warship; 80 guns
Scale: Unknown. A model of the French warship 'Indomptable' made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings, which have been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 13.40 on 21 October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar and shows damage to the ship. The ship is three masted, ship rigged, and sails are set on all masts. The hull is painted black with white stripes along the gun decks, white on the deck, and black on the deck fittings. On a paper label applied to the deck: '1'. The model is flying a French tricolour from the peak of the gaff.
