Inscription in Indian Ocean
Terrestrial hand globe. Geographical details on the sphere show simple outlines of the continents. Tasmania is drawn as an island and in the south polar region there is the label, 'Wilkes Land'. A total of five oceans are named. An introductory leaflet, one side in English, the other in French, was provided with the globe.
