Inscription in North Pacific Ocean
Terrestrial and celestial pocket globe. Geographical details on the terrestrial sphere show the location of the 'Antipodes of London'. There is a note on Cook's death: 'Owyhee / Capt. Cook killed 1779'. Tasmania is depicted as an island. The tracks of Cook's second and third voyages are shown with corresponding dates, and a total of seven oceans are named.
