Half-length portrait of John Russel, first Earl of Bedford, by Jacobus Houbraken. The sitter is depicted within a baroque cartouche wearing the insignia of the order of the Garter. Below, a putti is holding a laurel wreath, a battle is depicted on a plinth, and an anchor is placed on the left-hand side.
