Jug
Jug, transfer-printed in black and hand-coloured with black, hand painted bands around the neck. On one side a portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) with red ensigns and trophies behind and surmounted by Fame, with ships in the background. 'TRAFALGAR' is inscribed above the portrait. 'The Briton mourn (sic) what else can Britons do/While Bleeding Nelson rises to her view./Still is there cause for Triumph when she shews/The captured colours of our Vanquished foes./And greater still when FAME was heard to say/All all were Nelsons on that glorious DAY.' On the other side, a view of the Wearmouth bridge.
