'Katie N', port broadside
Scale: 1:12. Full hull model of the schooner 'Katie N' (1930). Built plank on frame, the model is decked, equipped and rigged, with the sails set and 'Katie N Renews' inscribed on the stern. It is a typical 'jack' or small schooner of the period 1900-40 used by Newfoundland fishermen. The model was presented to the NMM in 1983 by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, Department of Culture, Recreation and Youth.
