'King Alfred' (1905); Passenger vessel; Paddle steamer

Scale: Unknown. A full hull model of the paddle steamer 'King Alfred' (1905) made entirely in silver with enamelling. Fittings include a guard rail encircling the decks with a number of life rings attached to them, Union flag flying at the bow and red ensign flying from the stern, a single tall funnel with black-painted top, open bridge with telegraph, wheel, binnacle and other equipment, and an awing that covers the entire aft section of deck. The model is mounted on a pair of turned silver supports and displayed on a decoratively shaped black painted or lacquered plinth baseboard which probably once had a case cover. On port and starboard bows
