Lantern slide
From a set of magic lantern slides designed to accompany a lecture on the sun. The slides carry a trademark consisting of a letter Y with a serpent coiled round it, the trademark of the photographers and lantern slide-manufacturers, York & Son. The subjects include sunspot images, photoheliographs, the solar spectrum, spectroscopes and eclipses 1836-1869. Many use the theories of and illustrations from the works of those working on solar physics in the 19th century.

Delivery & returns
We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 5-7 days via courier or recorded mail.
Due to the coronovirus pandemic and Brexit situation, current shipping times may be longer, particularly for destinations outside the UK.
Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
We will happily replace your order if everything isn’t 100% perfect.
