Circular, silver gilt locket. The locket is adorned around the edge with foliage decoration. The locket comes complete with a suspension ring. The front of the locket is glazed and contains a lock of plaited brown hair. The locket reputedly belonged to Emma, Lady Hamilton (circa 1765-1815) although the locket's provenance is thought to be dubious.
