'Marblehead' (1767)
645 x 440 mm
Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the body plan, sheer lines, and longitudinal half-breadth for the Marblehead Schooner of eight guns, built at New York, 1767.
An undateable pencil annonation mentions the Earl of Egmont and Sir Edward Hawke as Marblehead Schooners. However, D. Lyon does not mention Earl of Egmont [The Sailing Navy List, p 212], and Chapelle thinks the plan relates to a schooner called 'Marblehead' [The History of the Amercian Sailing Navy, p.49].
Original size: 440 x 645 mm
