Medal commemorating the 'Queen Elizabeth 2' - Last North Atlantic Crossing by Steam. Obverse: Starboard broadside view of liner 'Queen Elizabeth 2' within a knotted rope circle. Inscription: 'LAST NORTH ATLANTIC CROSSING BY STEAM TOTAL STEAM MILEAGE 2,569,489 . NAUTICAL MILES.' Reverse: A shaped plaque superimposed on an anchor within a laurel wreath and knotted rope circle. Inscription: 'FAREWELL TO STEAM 4TH JULY 1840 25TH OCTOBER 1986 CUNARD LINE LIMITED.' Inscription inside lid of box: 'SPECIAL EDITION QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 SOLID NICKEL SILVER.'
