Obverse: Head of the Emperor Napoleon, laureate and draped, on a cushion (left). Legend: 'SAINTE HÔòá├�LÔòá├ÀNE V MAI MDCCCXXI'. Exergue: 'JE DESIRE QUE MES CENDRES REPOSENT SUR LES BORDS DE LA SEINE, AU MILIEU DE CE PEUPLE FRANÔòá├ôAIS QUE J'AI TANT AIMÔòá├�' (I wish my ashes to repose on the banks of the Seine among this French people, whom I have loved so much.) Reverse: Starboard bow view of the paddle steamer 'Dorade', containing the coffin, guarded, passing through the arched suspension bridge, draped with flags; cathedral and buildings (right). Legend: 'S.A.R. LE PRINCE DE JOINVILLE COMMANDANT DE L'EXPÔòá├�DITION' (S.A.R. The Prince of Joinville commanding the expedition).
