Exergue: 'JE DESIRE QUE MES CENDRES REPOSENT SUR LES BORDS DE LA SEINE, AU MILIEU DE CE PEUPLE FRANÔòá├ôAIS QUE J'AI TANT AIMÔòá├�' (I wish my ashes to repose on the banks of the Seine among this French people, whom I have loved so much.) Reverse: Starboard bow view of the paddle steamer 'Dorade', containing the coffin, guarded, passing through the arched suspension bridge, draped with flags; cathedral and buildings (right).
