Distinguished Service Medal awarded to Able Seaman Hubert Samuel Bevis (1884-1955).
On the obverse of the medal is the bust of King George V in naval uniform, orders and medals (L). On the reverse is the royal crown above and a laurel wreath tied with a bow enclosing the inscription: 'FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE'. The medal is fitted on a bar with four others: the 1914-15 Star (MED1304), British War Medal (MED1305), Victory medal with oak leaf for Mention in Despatches (MED1306) and the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (MED1307).
