Negres a fond de Calle
Print is taken from 'Voyage pittoresque dans le BrÔòá┬«sil', published in 1835 by Engelmann & Cie, rue du Faub. This book, which contains more than 100 images, was an important record of early 19th-century Brazil and shows the significant role played by slavery in Brazilian society at the time. Part of the Michael Graham-Stewart slavery collection.
