Nelson's Tomb, Crypt of Saint Pauls
A print showing Nelson's final resting place in the crypt of St Paul's. After his death he was immortalized as a national hero. In this print a family of parents and two small children are shown visiting the crypt. A man with a lantern illuminates the darkness and enables the visitors to read the inscription 'HORATIO.VICS NELSON' on the tomb. On the left, in homage to Nelson, two sailors witness the scene.
