Night bombing
A vivid depiction by Wyllie of a night-time air raid over the lower reaches of the Thames during World War I. Initially, German air attacks over Britain during WWI were undertaken by Zeppelins and restricted to strategic targets. As their limitations increasingly became apparent, the German military authorities turned their attention to long-range bombers such as the Gotha. These aircraft were responsible for numerous raids, including several on London. Although such bombing generated outrage and indignation from the civilian population at the time, in reality there was relatively little danger from such attacks.

Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
