Passenger/cargo vessel

Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a passenger/cargo vessel. The hull is painted light grey with vermilion at the waterline and white bulwarks. The decks are painted pale buff apart from the forward and aft cargo decks, which are dark grey. The cargo hatch covers are all mid-grey. The long forecastle includes anchor cable gear, a hatch and a derrick foremast with a navigation light attached half way up the mast. The forward cargo deck has a single hatch served by the derrick mast on the forecastle. The superstructure is placed amidships and has a promenade deck running its whole length. The front elevation shows two open decks with a bridge or pilot house atop. On the roof of the pilot house is a semi-circular wind-break for observation. There are two raised boat decks above the promenade deck, the forward one being the smaller of the two, having a pair of lifeboats stowed on davits. The larger of the boat decks has two pairs of lifeboats stowed on davits on the port and starboard sides. At the forward end of this deck are four ventilators in a transverse line the outer two being larger than the inner ones, and with derricks attached to them. Abaft of them is a single funnel painted buff, with a black top and a broad, horizontal white band separating the black and buff in the Ellerman Lines company colours. Abaft the funnel are four more ventilators, placed in two rows in a rectangular formation. Between the two boat decks is a small hatch served by the pair of derricks. The aft cargo deck has a single hatch served by derricks with integrated ventilators forward and a derrick mainmast aft located on the poop deck. The poop also has a small hatch and, aft of it, there is a raised boat deck with a pair of lifeboats stowed on davits. On base of model: '120'.
