Pattern 1842 rifle-musket
Rifle-musket. The stock is made of walnut and fitted with brass butt plate, trigger guard, fore-end cap and two ramrod pipes containing an iron ramrod. A Lovell's spring catch is fitted to secure a bayonet. The lock is a percussion lock. The barrel is circular, fitted with foresight and leaf rear sight. The calibre is 0.758in. It is fitted with a bayonet. Inscribed on the lockplate is a Crown over 'VR 1856 TOWER'; on the stock: 'I.C.R.' (Reserve weapon held for issue to regular troops) 'WD' (War Department) over arrow 'MA' and four numbers, the third of which is indistinguishable leaving only '1', '3' and '3' legible.

Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
