Pin
Bronze tie pin, decorated with an attached round copper medallion. The front of the copper medallion is decorated with a depiction of a warship, which is inscribed with the name 'FOUDROYANT'. The back of the medallion is inscribed with the words 'MADE FROM A COPPER BOLT OF NELSON'S FLAGSHIP FOUDROYANT'. The 'Foudroyant' was built in 1798 and was wrecked in 1897 near Blackpool, after her sale to J.R. Cobb as a training ship. Many souvenirs were made from her timbers and metal.
