Creamware plate with a waved rim, transfer-printed with a head and shoulders portrait inscribed 'Sir Geo. Bridges (sic) Rodney Bart.' Admiral Sir George Brydges Rodney (1719-1792) is shown in uniform, with a laurel wreath above his head and surrounded by military trophies. Below the portrait is a cartouche showing a globe flanked by two putti, one holding a trumpet and the other dividers. Sprigs of flowers are printed on the rim.
