A white porcelain plate, printed in the centre with a monochrome portrait of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (1921-) in naval uniform, the image based on a photograph. The edge of the plate is gilt and it has a coloured border, decorated with roses, and the Duke's monogram and coat of arms and the star of the Order of the Garter inscribed: 'HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE'.
