Portrait of the 'Charlotte'
Image information
Portrait of the 'Charlotte'
Viewed from before the port beam, a portrait of the 'Charlotte', 8-gun yacht, built 1677, rebuilt 1710. The ports are not shown. The drawing is inscribed in top right 'saerlodt', top left 'saslot'.
Offset rubbed on the back and strengthened with a little pencil.
This drawing was probably made in connection with pictures of the journey of William of Orange and Princess Mary to Holland in 1677. Approximately dated by the subject and watermark.
