Portrait of the 'Endracht'
Image information
Portrait of the 'Endracht'
A port-quarter view portrait of the 'Endracht', 80 guns, built 1666, wrecked 1690. Sails are furling with en on the fore topsail yard. There is a flag at the main. On the tafferel is the lion of the United Provinces within a circular fence. The drawing is too faint to distinguish the stern detail.
A faint offset, lightly touched with pencil in the masts and sails. Approximately dated by the subject.
