Pratt ware jug
Pratt ware jug moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Rear-Admiral Sir Edward Berry (1768-1831). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Berry is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Berry'. They have blue coats with yellow collars, lapels and epaulettes, brown hats and orange order ribbons. The inscriptions are moulded on the neck and painted blue. In the background, the sea is painted green and ochre with a ship on either side of each portrait. The jug has a brown rim and base with a leaf scroll handle. Berry was Nelson's Flag Captain at the Battle of the Nile.
