Presentation small-sword

Presentation small-sword from the City of London to Admiral Sir John Jervis, Lord St Vincent 1735-1823. This is the first sword ever presented by the City of London and a prototype for those which followed. It was presented to Jervis for his victory at the battle of Cape St Vincent, 14 February 1797 over the Spanish fleet.
