Recreation vessel (1690)
Scale: 1:32. A contemporary full hull model of an English yacht (1690), built plank on frame in the Navy Board style. The lavishly decorated hull is complete with 16 wreathed gun ports, of which ten are dummies, a deeply carved taffrail above the stern, a quarter `badge' on either side to provide light into the state cabin, and a double-headed figurehead reflecting the dual monarchy of William and Mary.
This vessel was cutter rigged with a single mast and was steered by a tiller, located on the poop deck aft.
