Ross M10 rifle
Ross M10 MarkIII rifle. The stock is made of wood and fitted with a leather sling. Bolt action with a box magazine taking five rounds of ammunition. The barrel is rifled. The rear sight is mounted on the receiver rather than on the barrel. The calibre is 0.303in. It is stamped with the letters 'LC' (which stands for large chamber - the intermediate pattern adapted for British-made ammunition) and the serial number '1075'. The Ross rifle was adopted by the British in 1905 but later replaced by the SMLE. The Mark III Ross was introduced in 1910.
