Russell (1822); chain lockers for 74-gun Third Rates

Plan showing the elevation through the gun deck (lower deck) and orlop deck, the plan of the gun deck, and the plan of the orlop deck and hold illustrating the method of fitting the chain lockers onboard Russell (1822), a 74-gun, Third Rate, two -decker, during her completion at Sheerness Dockyard. A copy was sent to Portsmouth Dockyard on 24 November 1835. This plan was in response to an Admiralty Order of July 1835 regarding fitting chain lockers to 74-gun Third Rates - see ZAZ6742 for a similar plan sent from the Admiralty, Somerset House, dated 24 November 1835.
