'Santa Ana'; warship; 112 guns
Scale: Unknown. A model of the 'Santa Ana', a Spanish warship made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 13.40 on 21 October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar and the ship is shown with damage sustained in the battle. The ship is three masted and all the masts are broken just above deck level and debris is strewn the entire length of the deck. Masts, spars and rigging have collapsed over the side of the ship. Red and black smoke is billowing from the port and starboard sides of the ship. The hull is painted black with yellow stripes along the three gun decks. Dark grey smoke covers the entire length of the deck. The decks are painted white with black deck fittings. There is a Spanish flag flying from a halyard. On paper label '33'.
