Seaman at recreation
There is a long tradition of seafarers creating artefacts whilst at sea, originally as a way of whiling away the time on long sailing voyages, though it declined over the first half of the twentieth-century. The seaman here then, obviously proficient, talented, well equipped, and even well shod, would appear to be an exception.
