Seascape, Cobo Bay
A sketch evoking the dramatic effect of sea and sky on a stormy day at Cobo Bay, Guernsey. The waves are shown moving across the surface of the image diagonally to the right. The sky is low on the horizon and solid patches of grey cloud stretch horizontally across the sketch. The effect of light through clouds creates a focal point as it is also reflected on the surface of the water in the foreground on the right. Everett stayed Cobo Bay, Guernsey, in the Channel Islands between January and March in 1911.
