Seascape, Corbiere
A sketch of the sea made while the artist visited Corbiere, Jersey. He stayed there for three weeks from 13 January to 6 February for three weeks to paint the constantly changing sea and sky. The low viewpoint, is on the same height as the crest of the breaking wave, and Everett has concentrated on the rhythmic sequencing of the waves with hatched patterning to indicate its movement. The lilac pink sky contrasts with the darker green sea, with a source of brilliant light coming from the left of the sky.
