Image information
Seascape from the 'Penaglis M. Hadoulis'
A sketch showing the sea from the 'Penaglis M. Hadoulis'. The purpose of the sketch is to show the effects of waves breaking and the sea takes up over three quarters of the picture. Several waves are shown breaking diagonally across the sketch, with their white crests throwing up spray represented by pale tones of paint. The ridges of the waves have been accentuated and the undersides of the waves are painted with short brush strokes of darker paint.
