A sketch of waves made while Everett stayed at Corbiere, Jersey, for three weeks from 13 January to 6 February 1928. He visited Corbiere expressly to concentrate on the visual effects of waves and light over the sea in the winter. One of a number of sketches produced during this period, it is shown from a low viewpoint and the use of tone indicates the cold wintry conditions.
