Seascape, Le Croisic
A sketch showing the view from the rocks near the water's edge at Le Croisic, France. There are rocks on the left and right and on the water. In the middle distance on the left is the profile of a sailing boat. The setting sun glows as a brilliant yellow and white orb low on the horizon and its reflection casts a vivid lemon light across the surface of the water. The waves are arranged as horizontal layers of colour. The sky is vivid pink, yellow and orange on the horizon.
