Sextant made by Heath & Wing of London, 1765

Polished brass frame, signed on the index arm 'Made by Heath & Wing London'. Brass stop for index arm. Brass scale from -5Ôòá├ö to 135Ôòá├ö by 30', measuring to 120Ôòá├ö. Brass vernier to 1', zero at right. A second vernier to 1', zero at right, is fitted to the left of the index arm (the difference between is two zero's is 24Ôòá├ö30'. Clamp screw on the back of the index arm. Index glass adjustment by screw and flange screw, horizon glass by wing operated lever and milled knob. Horizon glass missing. Two shades (both red). Sight vane with two pinholes and swivelling shade (red). Radius 5.9'' (150 mm). In fitted mahogany keystone box. Presented by Commander Sir Peter Ogilvy Wedderburn Bt. RN, in 1956.

Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
