Ships at anchor off a mediterranean harbour
A Dutch flagship is shown at anchor on the left with a small boat on the starboard side. The ship is flying Dutch flags and pennants. On the right is another flagship which may be flying flags from a Mediterranean nation. In the foreground on the right is a small Mediterranean craft sailing beyond the end of what may be a harbour fortification, with a corner turret. In the distance the buildings of a town are implied at the base of a steep hill rising up in the distance.Pieter van den Velde
