An embroidered silk picture, with a family photograph in the centre. The embroidery is framed and glazed. A sailor-made version of the sort of silk picture produced commercially in the Far East worked in long and short stitch. It shows the flags of the British allies during the early part of World War One. The maker Charles Herridge, his wife and two daughters are shown in the photograph.
