Sketch of part of the Island of Corsica
Scale: 1:45 000. Additional places are San Fiorenzo, Mortella and Bastia. It has a key with extensive notes on the fortifications, and dispositions of troops and guns.
This is a map of the operations in February 1794 to capture Mortella Point tower from the French and secure the anchorage at San Fiorenzo. The army, commanded by General Dundas, built batteries to reduce Mortella and the other fortifications. Nelson took part in the initial naval bombardment and in the attack on Bastia in April.
