Slave dial, side and face
Slave dial connected to the Shepherd master clock installed at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, in 1852, reading mean solar time. Inscribed 'Shepherd Patentee / 51 Leadenhall Strt, London / Galvano Magnetic Clock.' One example of a series of slave clocks that were placed in several locations in the Observatory.
