Slotted hilted hanger
Slotted hilted hanger, the hilt of the hanger consists of a narrow steel knuckle-guard, which broadens to the shoulder with two horizontal parallel cuts, one on each side. The dark green leather grip is spirally bound with a narrow strip of copper wire. The design of the blade together with the shape and lightness of weight of the hanger leads to the assumption that it was originally used at sea. This type of hanger disappeared around 1800.

Due to the coronovirus pandemic and Brexit situation, current shipping times may be longer, particularly for destinations outside the UK.
Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
