Sphere and case
Terrestrial hand globe. Geographical details on the sphere are the same as Newton GLB0054 and GLB0059, but updated by the track of 'Captain Biscoe' and 'Enderby's I'. The location of the 'Antipodes of London' is marked. There is a note on Cook's death, 'Owyhee / Capt. Cook killed 1779'. Tasmania is depicted as an island. The tracks of Cook's second and third voyages are shown with corresponding dates. A total of seven oceans are named.
