Sphere and stand
Celestial table globe. Astronomical details on the sphere include a labelled magnitude table above Bootes. The stars are marked by the Bayer notation and by Flamsteed numbers. The Milky Way is labelled. There is a nova in Cetus and one, labelled 'Nova 1669' in Vulpecula. A total of 38 stars and four star groups are named. The 48 Ptolemaic constellations and four of the non-Ptolemaic constellations are drawn. In addition, there are six southern constellations as well as those of Plancius, Hevelius and Lacaille.
