Sphere and stand
Celestial table globe. It forms a pair with the terrestrial globe, Bardin and Wright GLB0093. Astronomical details on the sphere are the same as Bardin and Wright GLB0168 and there is a magnitude table along the tropic of Capricorn. The stars are marked by their Bayer notation. The Milky Way is labelled. A total of 36 stars and four star groups are named, and there is an illegible star name in Cancer. The 48 Ptolemaic constellations and four of the non-Ptolemaic constellations are drawn. Five of the southern constellations are drawn, as well as those of Plancius and all those of Hevelius. Those of Hevelius are drawn in dotted contours.
Noteworthy of the style of the constellations drawn is a goat on the shoulder of Auriga accompanied by kids.
