Stirrup hilted dress sword
Stirrup hilted dress sword of the Honourable East India Company. This sword closely resembles a number of the smaller Royal Naval dress swords in the Museum's collection. It is, presumably, a copy of the prevailing style of dress sword in the period 1805-1812 or later. The section of the knuckle-bow is rather unusual and may indicate a new owner.
