Stirrup hilted Portuguese hanger
Stirrup hilted Portuguese hanger, the hilt of the hanger consists of a gilt stirrup guard with oval-shaped langets. The obverse of the langets is engraved with a crown over a foul anchor motif. The reverse of the langets is engraved with a motif, which consists of crown over a flag, which is decorated with two cannon's. The hanger has a box-shaped pommel. The steel blade is curved. The blade is engraved in Portuguese with the words 'VIVA RAINHAMARIA'.
