Study of a flower arrangement - possibly Christmas roses
This 'study of a flower arrangement' was done by Louisa Herschel presumbly from life. While paintings, plaster casts of statues and parts of statues provided by their art tutor for his students to copy would have made up a large part of the Herschels' artistic education, the children were also encouraged to practice sketching what they saw around them.
